Comments on Bible selection:

1. Be cautious of the notes of study bibles.  Only the text of the KJV is inspired, the notes are of men, and likely not of men that understand the dispensation of grace and that rightly divide the word of truth.  MBF suggests a “text” style version (seen here) which includes only the text of the Bible.

2.  It is very helpful to use an older English dictionary to help understand some of the words of the KJV, and to confirm their meanings, as some have more meanings than are familiar in today’s speech.  Many such dictionaries are available online.

3. Take care to review font sizes and “ghosting.” Typically, fonts for Bibles are on the small size, so be sure to select a font you can be comfortable with. Take time to read reviews about “ghosting,” where the text on the next page shows through the page being read. This can be very distracting to the point of not reading that particular printing. The Bibles recommended here have a decent sized font and minimal ghosting.
